At the Power Farm Festival, a new movement was presented that advocates a different food system. Under the title ‘Food Different’, more than 15 organisations are presenting agroecology as the future for agriculture. It combines ecologically responsible food production with fair compensation and respect for the farmer, fair trade relations and fair access to land.
Natuurpunt also supports the movement. More agroecology in agriculture can provide structural answers to pressing environmental issues in the long term and also give more space to the endangered farmland.
