Architecture students HAVE A HOPE for Elazig

The private sector, civil society and local administration developed the ‘Hope-Elazig’ project together. Elazig Governorship, Elazig Municipality, Elazig Chamber of Commerce and Industry and 18 students participated in the project led by the vice dean of Yeditepe University, Faculty of Architecture Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ece Ceylan Baba and the worldwide famous architect Emre Arolat.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ece Ceylan Baba stated: “Our students designed the project, which is first in Turkey. An economically self-sufficient living space is established. Urban agriculture will be done in touch with nature. With vertical agriculture modules, separate agricultural areas will be established for each unit without occupying the land. Vegetables and fruits will be grown and new earthquake-resistant living spaces will be built.
